Finally made a final table today!
I'm a pretty casual online poker player so I was very happy to make the final table today with 400+ players in the tourny.

Here is the action from the final table

There where 420 now there are 9

Look Moge is in second!

Im actually very happy with Third place. Payed my rent and got me some drinking money!

...Im off to the bar!

Congrats!

I've played at a casino, and watched over a buddy's shoulder online, but not played online.

It all depends on how many people join. It is a split pot. The entry fee was $5 + .50 meaning the $5 is split and the house gets .50 per person. places 36-28 got $8 and first place got about $600. Again it is all about how many people join so the larger the tourny the higher the prize money - but harder to win.

The real money starts around the $25 buy-ins but I find the $5 ones easier to money in.

The tourny lasted about 5-6 hours. Good part is most people bust out becuase they get bored and sloppy. I usually have the TV on mute so I get a little extra stim going...oh and crack is also a good choice.

Yeah, I figured that was the case, seems like every tourny I do well in, is because of boredom, or the other players arn't worried about throwing their money all over.

yep. Tourny play is vastly different from cash games. In a tourny it is about survival then big stacking. If you have the option to go all-in and bust out or fold and live you should go for the fold.

Once you are in-money then go for your stack. It is a bit boring but I can usually at least get in-money of 80-90% of the games I play. If you want excitment do a sit-n-go or cash game.

I used to play online all the time. I like fulltilt I think it is one of the best sites out. I have a group of about 20 people that I play with every 2 weeks. Me and another person are trying to setup a online poker shop for the home poker tourneys. So if you know of anyone that wants a custom built poker table we have them for sale.
