Hi! Now that the formalities are over, hows everything going. I first tried to open up www.swg-avian.net and saw you all werent there anymore, so thanks to google I found the place. Its been awhile since I have browsed these boards. I hope to be more active game wise but that probably wont happen until late Nov. when I finally get back to the states. Currently Korea bound for those that didnt know. Ill try and stop by more often between now and then after Nov I should get a game that I can play a little more frequently.

Sweet! I did 17 years in Korea.... it's all a matter of perspective.

Many don't like parts of it, but I loved it (at times).

...you don't look that old, BY. Damn, you must have some good genes.

RA, Alabama is a bit far, but I'm moving to Charlotte soon enough. If we get Talon and some of the others I'm sure we can get another Avicon going so that people can talk each other's ear off. At least we can all listen to Talon....

I have some friends teaching and doing newspaper work in Korea...not quite the same thing, but I went to visit for a couple of days and at least Seoul seemed pretty nice. I hope you enjoy it, stop by Japan if you get a chance.

Funny you would say that, My leave just got approved so I will be going there Aug 31-Sep4 (Labor Day). Ive been to Seoul A few times but I am about 2 hrs south of that near Pyongtaek maybe BY knows where Im talking about; stationed at Camp Humphreys. Ive spent 2 yrs here and there have been good and bad but I will be happy when I can get behind the wheel of a car and stay out past midnight; some of the restrictions of Korea. And I will need to change that Alabama as I know I wont be going back there. Right now I dont know where Im going but I know Alabama isnt a place I can go. Im hopeing for Washington st (Lewis), Texas (Hood), or Georgia (Savanah).

Hey, I've been to Humphreys a couple times! Ahh, the good ol' days.

I grew up as a Middle and High School kid there, mostly in Taegu down south. Probably went to Seoul 300 times while I was there. Luckily, the curfew was 3 am while I was there, and only dropped down to 9pm my last year of college when I'd be back visiting. We're having a get-together with my old high school class this Friday, playing some poker... talking some Korean... eating some Kimchee.

As Moge will probably attest to my terrible driving, I learned to drive a car over there. I'm very comfortable driving backwards on sidewalks, or down one way streets (the opposite way). :)

Good luck! Pick Lewis if you get the chance... I was never a big Hood fan.

What are you up to in Japan? If you're going to be in Tokyo, there's a possibility Bossman Intrepid will also be there at the same time, and since he's a college friend of mine I may be headed over to visit. I might go rafting instead though. If you're in Osaka or the Kansai region, it's a lot closer so I could definitely at least show you a couple places or provide translation services.

I will be meeting my mother-in-law for the first time, she is working in Japan. I think we will be around the Tokyo area. As I have an 8 month old I think one day she has decided to go to Disney in Tokyo. From what I have heard it sounds like the days have been micro-managed for us.
