With the HBO Series Rome wrapping up next week to my utter dismay...I began to think about this game and whatever happening to it. I remember getting suckered into paying for their beta or prelease.

I was appalled by how poor and boring the game was and never went back....

anyone?

I was very intrigued by the idea but after seeing their execution/implementation of the concept, I dropped it. I'd certainly be interested in any current feed back.

Maybe from Talon?

I logged into it a couple of weeks ago, for pretty much the same reason... HBO's Rome got me in the mood.

It still plays horribly. UI, object naming, and graphics all look like they should still be on a test server somewhere being developed.

Lag is still a huge problem for me when I'm in there. I know it's not PC related given I'm running it on a Intel dual-core E6600 PC with a GeForce 7900GTX vid card. The game runs like sheet.

Another complex game down the crapper.

I haven't played it since beta, but have technically paid for the game. No subscription to it (assuming they haven't changed their policy on that) so I saw no harm in actually paying for it.

As the others have said, it was really boring and had lots of bugs. If they carry on working on it, it may be worth playing in a couple of years time!
