I usually try and write up posts sort of like this for the our dealers- and another quick thank you for the public, but this week I going to switch things up and let you guys have the larger post.
This entire week leading up to the opening of the Avian Nest again was very incredible. I didn't know I would enjoy playing "host" as much as I do, but I had a blast selling raffle tickets all over the planet during the week. It was a hard job, not a lot of people seem to trust you at first. Getting "in character" helped very much, and helped me enjoy standing/sitting/waiting around Naboo's towns more then before when I was just shouting the information.
We had a good number of people already entered in the contest while I was making my usual run from Keren's bank behind the starport to the Nest but didn't get far. Folks were still buy'n into the contest just at the last minute it seemed, and it slowed my progress just before the announced opening time.
Once I did make it to the Avian Nest, Yee-ub was there ready to go and dive right into his first night as an official dealer. He was already one of our most frequent visitors, so I figured why not give him a job and keep him from stumbling around with one of Kipp's drinks in his hand? I was a little nervous that things would be too much for the Mon Cal in hotpants but he absorbed everything so quickly, you'd think it was his casino!
About that time, I noticed Liro was present… somewhere. After a quick /tell, I learned he was able to come down from the mountain forest and do some dealing too! Earlier, Liro had explained that he might not get a chance to ever deal but I think the force helped to bring him to us luckily this night and I'm grateful he was able to take the time to help out. He has been a good supporter of the Avian Nest from the beginning, though do to schedule problems hasn't been able to make any of our dates, until this Saturday.
Because I was late to getting to the Nest, Ta'lon had to wait outside for a while alone, but soon was joined by a few others. I asked them to head on in while I logged and grabbed some info of the dealers. Everyone was very gracious with the wait, so thank them for that. Once I was back, sent the info to Yee-ub and Liro, it was time to change the sign- "NOW OPEN".
I was immediately greeted with the lovely image of Miss Cheetah who must have sneaked by while I was away. Quite a pleasant surprise, but I couldn't tell her so, business called. More tells flooded in, seemed a few folks couldn't find the Nest so I had to direct them so they could make sure to enter the raffle. Those present were also entitled to enter so I did my best to get everyone the information they needed hoping the "new" dealers were handling things ok.
It seemed they were doing a good job even with the new games. Things seemed to go smoothly there, and soon it was time to call the raffle. We gathered in the center area and started to draw numbers. I think twice we had two that weren't on the list which added to the suspense. "Is it over??! Did you do it?!" I got 2-4 tells like that just of folks who weren't present die'n to know if they had won or not. "Nope… we have to do it again" about killed them I suspect.

Finally a winner was found, who of course wasn't present or even logged on.
People went back to gambling and I contacted the winner via e-mail. We didn't have enough to hold a tournament this week that I think caused the night to seem shorter then it has been. Soon things started to slow down and it was time to close.
Not sure if anyone has interest to read all that now that I'm done. Anyway, thanks to the dealers on the night, you guys did a great job.

Also, thanks to the folks who came again. Nice to see new faces and returning faces- I hope you all enjoyed yourselves.
I'll let everyone know when we'll be opening again soon and what will be going down next time at the Avian Nest Casino.
