Avian Gamers Network

As a result of some of the comments that have been thrown around lately about the only fulfilling part of SWG are the Avians who we play with, Cyrus and I were talking earlier today about doing something new and different.

This idea has been brought up before, but hear me out, because I don't think its been proposed in this much detail.

First off, those of you who were here before Beta, think back on how it was then. We had some good times playing games like Freelancer, Counterstrike, and that stupid little HTML based internet game Mafia, just to name a few. These were not MMO's but we had a good time, because were playing with friends. I think in general, I had more fun waiting for Beta, than I've had since release.

Here's the proposal then. We'll need Obo (or somebody who can do roughly the same things, which i don't know of anybody who can) to get us a site like this one. There would be a heavy emphasis on using the Avian Chat room we have here. People could mill in and out and hang around chatting until someone says "Hey, anybody up for a game of freelancer?"

I also thought it would be cool if we could have something like the tier project where we could select which platforms we've got available for multi-player games, and which titles we own or are interested in playing.

There would also be the normal forums for community stuff like the general forums now.

EDIT: Oh yeah.. one other thing. Those that DO still enjoy playing SWG, you can still do so as an Avian. It would just become another game we could play together if the mood hits us right. (the mood for self-torture, that is).

Any feedback on this idea?

Seems like a natural progression for Avian really. I'd say a huge part is up to Obo, but I know SWG isn't the only game I play (regardless of how fond of it I am at any given time).

Since this is the first MMORPG that im playing I would be more than happy to have any Avian join in on another multiplayer game. You are a great group to hang out with. Havent regretted a day since I joined you guys. Couldnt have hoped for a better comunity.
Its true that we have our share of fights, but they are fought over the betterment of Avian, and not as personal gains. I love you guys (especialy cheetah )
