I think it's funny that some cultures in the world eat animal penises as a delicacy, but we think we must wash our hands both after we go to the bathroom and before we eat.

I grew up on an Army base in Korea, which my father was the boss of. When he went out with his new staff, they ordered a specail, and very expensive meat plate - around $150, and insisted that they cut him a piece from it. Turned out it was dog penis, which they told him afterwards... which is a sign of fertility and power and respect, among other things. I was amazed, because he took the news without expression, but was pretty damn pissed off on the ride home.

I couldn't tell if he was more upset about what he ate, or the fact that Korean custom is also that the boss automatically pay for all group lunches.

Why not both?
