Currently trying out Eve Online (MMORPG) kinda reminds me of freelancer just better

anyone play it? or in the past played it?

Yeah, I've tried it a couple times...cool music...cool layout...haven't tried it since the last few expansions.

Prior to the expansions at least, the gameplay was just too repetitive and wasn't that immersive. I didn't get that sense of ownership with the char that would keep me coming back.

Its been that game that I want to like, but just haven't gotten into it.

Hehe, yep. Obo tried the game during a previous trial period as well I think

I tried it too on a trial basis. The skill system is/was completely time based which kinda made advancement strange....just wait and eventually you got whatever skill you were working towards. It also meant you were never going to catch up to anyone else.

thats really what i don't like even a time based system supplimented (meaning sped up) by useage of the skill would be nice
