...starts tonight. Go see it.

It's a true story. I've actually had the pleasure of meeting Steve Saint, who is the son of one of the main characters of the movie, Nate Saint, who was one of the 5 who were killed by the natives. It's an absolutely unbelievable story from start to finish. I've read a couple different books on the incident, and I really look forward to seeing this.

Will likely get to see this but I don't go to the movies as much as I used to since it's so easy to rent and watch on my big screen.

Wow. I saw it Sat. night. It's definately an indie film, but it's one of the best I've seen, as far as indie films go. The fact that I'm pretty familiar with the story may put me in a biased state of mind, but it was an incredibly gripping story, and they did a great job with it.

There's also a documentary that was released a few months ago, and I guess it's at all the Blockbusters and other major movie stores. It's supposed to be even better than the movie. The documentary is called "Beyond the Gates." I'll watch it and let you know how it is.

It is UNBELIEVABLE how many times I've met people who have at least SOME connection to the Elliots. The couple that we went to the theatre with to see End of the Spear with, the guy told us that his parents went to college with Jim and Elizabeth, and knew them fairly well.

I think it's interesting that up until maybe a year ago, the Elliot's story was all we had heard about. Now Steve Saint is telling his side of the story and it's just as fascinating, if not more so. If you EVER get a chance to hear Steve Saint speak and tell his story straight from his own mouth, definately go and take advantage of that. It's absolutely amazing, some of the things he talks about.
