ok IM at work. We just moved our hosted site to a new server. Now that the site has progagated only a few of our computers can access the site.

example. comps 1 3 and 4 type run > ping womma.org and we get 216.70...

comps 2 and 5 and 6 get 216.122... which is our old IP.

We are all networked into the same router and local server. This is just killing us as most people who NEED access to the site cannot gain it.

dunno i did a quick reverse DNS look up and got the 216.70. address ands thats where my knowledge of the subject ends...Also doing the same thing (run-Ping-womma.org) get same addy but can't access it which is probably a good thing...

I have no idea maybe clear any caches or temp files?

I was about to say, a simple ipconfig /renew would have done it. Needed to force the machines to update their DHCP info.

so strange though. Some computers didnt need it while others did. That was what was throwing everyone off. That and they think since Im the web programmer that I 'naturally' know all about being a system admin...which I know -nothing- about...clearly.

Thank god I made them give me an on-call freelance IT person budget last week.
