I think I am done in this game. Everything seems out of whack and you are severely punished if you aren't online all the time, but most of your online time is boring. I didn't get to play much while on Vacation and I have no real desire to go back to it. Fun while it lasted though.

I would think your characters are still available as I see them in the guild. I could see why starting over would be no good, but if you have your mage/priest, it could be good as we now have plent of high level chars.

It would probably come back fast but I don't even remember HOW to play at this point. Healer, I think, is one of the hardest toons to play well.

Not really very hard at all to get back into it, I just came back from a 5 month break and have raised my rogue to level 34, paladin to 22, druid to 20 and my priest to 49 as of today, quite a bit of leveling. It took a couple days to get into the swing of things but after that it was no problem.
