I would like to say that GodofGophers statements, echo my thoughts almost exactly.

I see it as purely politically driven here in the USA, especially with rumblings about a carbon tax and in the Democratic Presidential candidate debates here Thursday night all the candidates said they would raise taxes.

So, I figure they'd be more than happy to sign a bill for a new tax.

Gonna have to put a stop to the political side here. If you want to discuss it further you know where it goes.

We can still talk about the environmental side! :) (Which was the initial point!)

ok then, enviromental side, the earth is definatly getting warmer, and its hard to actually point at something and say thats why its getting warmer(thats too easy, just stop that thing and its all fine)

are we actually sure it is humans burning feul that is making it warmer? or can it just be a small part of it, and more then just humans

i remember watching discovery channel a while ago, termites(the little wood eating bugs) also produce CO2, if CO2 is the reason the earth is getting warmer, then we should kill them

i think the earth becoming warmer is not because of one reason, which we have to solve, but because of more reasons, and humans are not yet advanced enough to look at all possable reasons, but that does not mean we should keep polluting

(trying to save a tread here)

intresting, but the sun does more then give out heat, it gives radiation, magnetism, and other stuff too(not sure on the details), and besides that, they only mention an 11year cycle, just one piece of thier "proof", you will need more then that to convince (most) sceptics

also, its not just humans that give an effect on the climate change, we don't even know all species on the planet yet, one of them could be mass producing CO2 or other gasses labelled as "bad"
