After Three days of waiting I got my Beta Invite today...

I must say it's sad that I got mine so early

I spent a LONG time in the SWG beta forum, had loads of good questions and discussions and never got invited until Beta 3

Question - is CoH SCS or MCS? If its MCS I am gonna be in heaven (can play multiple play atyles without 2 accounts).

I believe it is MCS. It definitely is now and I believe it will be going forward, but I don't know the official stance from the Developers

Yeah, I believe it is MCS. There isn't any reason for it not to be, with no player economy, no items, and no possible way to mule.

JUSTICE test in a minute or two...i'll be on as Electron...I don't like the controls that much..right mouse to move camera is kinda awkward

The controls do take some getting use to. I have the darnest time playing SWG now. Release is right around the corner

Which server are we going to call our own at launch. These are the lists of possiblities, although the caveat is that not all may be active at launch.

Server selection is a tough call. Knowing that problems can and will happen, Pinnacle has been tested and tweaked to support the game. My vote is for Pinnacle, because I really wouldn't want to beta test a new server during release. I've enjoyed playing on Pinnacle more than Prime (seems to run better).

my graphics are kinda wierd...when i go into certian screens all (like training) im thrust into a white void that seems to be a graphic issue..im running a 9800pro with current drivers..

Yeah, there are quite a few threads in the beta forums with problems with an ATI card. I've not paid much attention to them since I have an nVidia card myself, but supposedly there is an older set of drivers that works best, or something. I'd recommend doing a search in the technical/hardware forum.

i'm having trouble with my ati as well...basically the game screws with my gamma settings...

I have an ATI card also, however, mine is just the 9000 pro. I haven't experienced any problems with COH. I haven't check for new drivers in the last 6 months also. Maybe that could have something to do with it (new drivers could be causing problems). Hang in there, I'm sure a fix is on the way or a temp fix is in the forums.

I'm running the Catalyst 4.2. I've downloaded the 4.4, however, with all problems I'm hearing about, I don't plan on installing them as of now. So I guess the reason I'm not having any problems is probably because 4.2 is more compatible with the game.

Pre-order launch is now less than a week away. I've heard one person express preference for Pinnacle. Has anyone else given this any thought?

Heh, sweet - just got it!

Another 1.5 hrs to DL the client so that means I'll be in sometime tomorrow. I'll start on Prime and/or Pinnacle as there seem to be quite a few Avians across those two servers.

I have no server preference and I will join you on Pinnacle.

I just have to decide if I will go with my Empathy/Lightning Defender, Fire/Fire Blaster or Claws/???? scrapper (that's the least likely).

For big groups I really enjoy the Defender.

For Solo the Defender is not bad, but the Blaster is way more fun (even if it is harder)

The Scrapper has some good self-heal abilities, but the lack of ranged support means you have to chase down alot of bad guys and its harder to engage a mob.

I think you can keep the name of 1 character on each server (or something like that).
