OK, you guys remember how I was getting that SubSeven Trojan attack that my firewall would stop all the time? I'm still getting it off and on, but now something really messed up is happening.
Every time any program on my comp access the internet (including IE, every time it loads a new page, etc) I get a pop-up from Norton saying it has found and deleted msnarrator.exe from my Windows directory, and that this file contains the virus Trojan.Narat.
I updated my virus definitions and everything yesterday, followed the instructions on Symantec's website for clearing the shit out of the registry and turned off Window's System Restore. I ran the full virus scan, scanned every single file on both my harddrives, etc. Everything is fine and dandy. But still, everytime any program on my PC does anything with the internet, that damn file downloads itself onto my PC, Norton immediately deletes it, and that pop up constantly harrasses me.
Does anyone have ideas on this? The system scan isn't finding any other viruses, but I'm assuming something has to be there if that damn trojan.narat keeps showing up and downloading itself. Is it time to just format and start fresh and clean?
