The Avian Big Catch Contest! [CANCELLED] That's right ladies, gents, and Bothans. The Big Catch Contest is back, this time under new management so the rules are a little different. The Contest: The fisherman that makes the largest catch for the month will be awarded 20,000 credits and a personalized trophy. If that catch also happens to break the all-time record an extra 20,000 credits will be awarded. The catch will need to be verified before the award is given. The Extra Opportunities: Even if you don't win the contest you can still benefit for your effort. Through my vendor I will be purchasing fish meat for 5cr per unit (just as Ta'lon did). I will also be purchasing the actual fish for 500 credits each. I'll be reselling these with a small markup just to cover my vendor costs. I may not always buy them though, it will depend on my current stock. Remember that I will always be buying the fish meat. FAQ: Q. How do I fish? A. Check out Talon's Guide to Fishin' Q. Where can I get a fishing pole? A. At Romsuiag's Retail Merchant Tent. Located in Avian City, Talus on the main commercial strip. Sometimes I have bait on my vendor, but that stuff sells out faster than I care to collect. Bait is found either by foraging or, when you fillet a fish, you get chum bait from it. Ask around and someone may be able to help you out. |

I read it as just the overall largest fish for the month and not the largest of each type like we did before (though that was a lot of fun breaking them down that way). |

I got a .1333333 early in January..a little fellow...I fillet him and destroyed him..not even big enough for displaying  since then have not tried

I have been having problems with fishing. When I try to /fish, I get the message that I do a cast, but I see no animation and get no fishing window. No fish from me...

Yes, the devs did something and now fishing is bugged (at least it was prior to todays patch, maybe it has been fixed). |
