Miracle. Go. See. It. Now. Unbelievable. Incredible. There is so much to simply love about this movie. The acting is superb (and its a sports movie). I'm still just giddy after seeing this movie 4 hours ago. When USA tied up the score 3-3 in the middle of the third against Russia, I actually shouted GOAL!!!! in the theater, I was so into the game/movie. It has all the excitement of a game 7 in the Stanley Cup finals. And all the historical references in the movie, from the hair, the intro tune for NBC Nightly News, the old commercials, everything, it has a very real sense of nastalgia. When mixed with the incredible story and excitement of the Miracle on Ice, the sense of being there is just overpowering. |
