Post subject:  Question to all.

We have a film themeweek at our school.
I have gotten the honor of making a "speech" about Star Wars. No surprice since I am the only STAR WARS fan around here.
I have to talk in front of 200 to 250 other students and teachers about the Star Wars community.
Now I have two questions:

1. What did Star wars do to you in when you saw it for the first time?

2. What did it do to the rest of the world, by your point of view.

Thank you very much in advance. The most needed is the second question. Find anything. Links, news, articles, rumers anything.

lol. Holy cow, I thought this was a recent thread. I don't remember seeing it the first time around. It must have been during one of my "absent" periods.

1. For me, it gave me my alternate universe...others have imaginery friends...I had Star Wars. For the next 7 years, that's all I wanted for Christmas was Star Wars stuff. I also think its very telling that the power of the story and the characters stayed with me into my 30's.

2. I dunno, when I was 5 I didn't care...I was too wrapped up with what it was doing to me!

Hmm, now you're stretching my ancient memory, hehe :)

1. When I first saw it, Star Wars gave me the feeling that sometimes what is right and good does prevail. It helped strenghthen my determination to always fight for what I believe in, even if I have to buy a cool lightsaber to do it. It also made me wish I had a wookie for a pet, and made me wish I could take flying lessons.

2. In my opinion, the rest of our society got some enjoyment out of a movie that used sci-fi to show how even "underprivileged" children can come out to be outstanding leaders......at least I wish they would have gotten that point......

Good luck in your speech, I'm sure you will be great :)
