AND who have Jedi Academy... ![]() ![]() Quote: This is the SIEGE Star Destroyer Map that is part of Activion's Vehicle Tutorial Pack Quote: The Mission:
The Millennium Falcon is being pulled in by an Imperial Star Destroyer's tractor beam; they want what's in that ship and will do anything to get it. Equipped with X-Wing Starfighters and Z-95 Headhunters, the attacking Rebels must battle through the defending Imperials, who are equipped with TIE Fighters, TIE Bombers and turbolaser defenses on the surface of the Star Destroyer. Rebel Mission Objectives: - Defend your fellow Starfighters against Imperial attack - Destroy deflector shield generator domes - Destroy the solar ionization reactor - Destroy the communications array - Destroy turbolaser defenses - Destroy all exterior objectives to disable the hangar shields - Destroy the tractor beam Imperial Mission Objectives: - Destroy attacking Rebel ships - Defend your Star Destroyer until the Millennium Falcon is captured Time Limits: - 20 Minute Initial Time Limit - If Rebel forces succeed before the time limit is reached, the teams switch sides (Rebels become Imperials and vice versa) - Once the new teams are formed, the new Rebel team must complete the same objectives in the same or less amount of time than the first Rebel team did. Players: - Recommended Maximum of 16 Players (8 per team) - Note: Game/Networking performance WILL DECREASE if you attempt to play with more than 16 players Hot off the net, not sure if any servers are running it yet but I CAN'T wait to try this out. Fairly hard to grab right now so you might try a little later. Hope that is the right link. http://lucasfiles.com/index.php?s=&acti ... 50d23d7dc0 Here is a thread so you can see what people have to say about it/find a decent server. http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.p ... did=123735 |

To bad almost none of you have this game. ![]() I thought I would only like playing on the Rebel side (Z95 fan) but both sides have their pluses. TIEs are rather weak but in a swarm... they can eat up anything. Doing that to bombing X-Wings is "hoot", and knocking back a wave of them is a nice thrill. Know I'm pretty much just talking to myself but if you have his game you should grab the map asap. ![]() More screens, click here |

Well yah you can play the single player game where you "train" to become a jedi but you won't be able to play any of the space combat maps because there aren't any bots programed to fly ships. You can find more info on the game here. http://www.lucasarts.com/products/jediacademy |

Yes yes I know, no one else plays this. ![]() BUT last night I got to play agaist one of the people who helped create this map and the "v2" as he called it coming out soon. He works for Raven and has been working with modders/map makers outside of the company to get some of the features that were cut by the company (time issues) polished up by the JA community. I think that is rather neat. And since he is one of the guys who "built the game" he has insights to all the little bugs and tweaks that could be made to make the game that much better! Er- Anyway, he says "v2" AKA Astroids had another good test run last night and SHOULD be out the door in a few days! It is a little sad, had the Raven guys had more time to add what they wanted, JA could have already had these flight maps done. But now that these first few are being released, new modders are already working on Endor maps (ride around on speeders/AT-ST's) and Hoth Battles (Snow Speeders/AT-ST's). /cheer |
