Do you think General Grievous is actually part Darth Maul? They took parts of Darth Maul and made a cyborg called General Grievous? I've seen pictures of Grievous, mostly concept, and cartoony, and all the concepts use yellow eyes. I also read on theforce.net that you may see Grievous's brain and eyes or something...people have suggested it being part darth maul, which is probably how or why he has force powers, or abilities with a lightsaber.. |

I didnt even realize that the villian in Ep3 was gonna be a "clone/ rehash of another Darth" Anyway, how would they have gotten Maul's body back? He fell down that huge tunnel-thing... |

I hope not. If so, that would be the worst idea George has ever come up with. I yearn for the days when I had never seen a prequel movie, and when the Original Trilogy was all that Star Wars ever was. I feel like my childhood has been raped by the low quality of everything since then. I'm really, really glad that GL didn't direct ESB or ROTJ. |

After the SE DVD package has been sold, and after the box set of all six movies. And then maybe, unless an "Ultimate Edition" is released. But I doubt the originals will make it out before then. Lucas said once that they would never be available for purchase, or even seen again. I'm sure he'll make them available if he can make everyone buy multiple DVDs from him in order to get them, though. |

Locke, I read about General Grievous a few weeks ago. What I do not understand is how GL will fit so much into his last SW movie. Seems like there is not enough time in a 2hour movie to do all that needs to be done with Anakin... plus introduce new characters. I wonder why they need more Villains in EpIII. Wonder why Darth Sidious (Palpatine), Darth Tyranus (Count Dooku) plus Anakin going bad is not enough bad guys for this movie? I think one of the things I loved about Star Wars was that the villains were not disposable. Darth Vader was bad ass and was not going away so easily. He was almost single-handedly the main villain for the original movies. Sure there was the Emperor and Fett in them… but the main Sith on the screen was there for the long haul. No wimp like Luke was going to do away with him in less than a few movies. When EpI came out I thought Darth Maul was cool.... I loved the look of him and the bad ass combat he could dish out on two Jedi. (Force throwing the broken droid part to open the door behind him, all the while keeping his eyes on the two Jedi is my favorite Darth Maul Moment) But when he died I was disappointed. Star Wars in my mind was not full of disposable villains. General Grievous does not make it into EpIV... so we know he gets disposed of in EpIII. I wish they would have had the general from the begining, or kept Maul alive untill the end. A good movie series needs long lastng villains. |

I just really like the concept of a robot with lightsabers. When I played Jedi Knight 3 - Jedi Academy, they had robots/droids with lightsabers, which heavily interested me. Quote: A good movie series needs long lastng villains.
Yeah, your right about that. |
