Stop reading this. Go. Go and watch this movie now.

Why are you still reading? Run, Pita, run!

Ok, if you're this far, you've chosen to ignore my direction so I'll tell you a bit more. Knocked out a lot of work early in the day and had a chance to go and I'm so glad I did.

If you've seen the previews, you know the gist of the movie (if not, find it here) but from the cinematography to the sounds to what I think is probably one of Denzel's best performances to the story itself and it's meaning, this movie is so much, much more than the preview suggests it is. Even if you know the plot and the twists and the ending, go see it. The way in which the story is told makes it so enveloping.

I've read a few negative reviews, citing Tony Scott's (director) editing and camera choices, but IMHO, that's how he puts you inside the movie, so you see Mexico City and all the events from Creasy's point of view. Who knows...maybe I just have no taste or just love movies too much! :P In any case, I very much enjoyed this movie!

I dislike most movies that are named "A Man on ... " Those names tend to be 100% action, 0% emotion.

However this looks to be an exception. From what I have seen, this movie has a lot going for it. I shall call my wife at work and start begging her to take me to the movies

***
IMHO there seems to be several good movies on the horizon. I may need to get a student job to pay for all that i want to go see. :)

Don't judge a book by it's cover.

Denzel Washington hasn't been in a bad film.. ever? I can't remember a movie with him playing a large role I didn't enjoy.

Movies, I've heard about them..

seems so fuzzy right now. I'll put it on my lidy of must sees. The little girl in that is suppose to be a phenominal actress as well.

Yeah, I'll have to go and see this movie. I saw the making of it on HBO last night, and it looks really good.

I don't know of any other action movies called "Man on..." anything. We've got "Man on the Moon" about Andy Kaufman. Other English titles are "Dead Man on Campus" (1998), "The Man on the Eiffel Tower" (1950), "Man on a Tightrope: (1953), "The Man On Lincoln's Nose" (2000) "Big Man on Campus" (1989), "Man on the Flying Trapeze" (1935), "The Final Programme" (1973) aka "The Last Days of Man on Earth", and "The Last Man On Planet Earth" (1999). Plus there are about a dozen foreign films, mostly French, with translated titles in this vein.
