Okay, it's not Beatles.
But my military app. has been turned down and I am currently working on it. But I have thought about going to the US Army instead. Can anyone help me out, like a place to stay temporarily.
Don't worry, it won't happen for at least another year.

Please email me about it to

Come on, can nobody help him? If I was able, I would.

There isn't anywhere near here where he'd be stationed, and I've got no room anyway, but I'd help him find a spot.

Try looking into just staying on base if you get in somewhere. It'll be a lot cheaper anyway.

Why would he need a place to stay once he gets in the military? He'll have government quarters.. O_o Maybe im just confused.

Will they even let you in the US Army if youre not a citizen?

And even if they do, what will be the details for this temp residency?

Hey they do let in people who arent citizens.. My Roomie is a mexican citizen, it takes a couple years to get your citizenship while in the army, mainly due to slow paperwork channels.

And ya i still don't get why he would need a place to stay o_o

Don't join the army if you don't want to live in their housing.

Yeah you can be in the US military and not be a US citizen. I know a guy at school from Honduras that was in the US army yet still not a US citizen. He got both his EE & ECE degree with a 4.0, and is now working for the US military.

He is not concerned with making money, which is why he has chosen this particular path. He is doing some thing where he will eventually be helping the Honduras military by showing them many of the things he learns from the US army… all of which will be utilizing his degrees.

It is a weird and complicated setup.

The limit in the military for non citizens is eight years. Believe it or not the limit has recently been waved for those serving in Iraq. Go figure.

lol tobias.

Come HERE! (Columbia SC). It's sunny and warm and we have Fort Jackson here outside town. Plenty of cheap places to stay. I even have a shed out back you can take for a while. :P (j/k)

Thank you everyone.
Right now I have to think about finishing my school, got an exsam in an half an hour in english. But also I have gotten the papers for why they turned me down.
1. My ear. I had a surgery ten years ago, were they cut the eardrum. They fear my hearing isn't too good, wich is strange since the test said I had topscore.
2. My eye. I am born with a flaw in my right eye and it counts -2.25 with means I can see about 2.5 feet ahead without need of glasses, but my other eye wich is perfect compensates for it and makes it possible for me to see completely clear. My brain just shuts out my right eye.
3. My skin. I had eksema as a child and I am overallergic for greenlandic mosquitobites, the mosquitos up here are bigger and got more poison than others because of the colder weather. The are called "ticks"
4. My teeths. Havent been to a dentist for four years. But begun last week.

When all of thoose are ok I can get in.

BTW This summer I move home to my farther and he got ASDL or ADSL so I can play in SW:G. My friend stopped playing a couple of month ago and I am buying his copy. So cross fingers.

Hey I have talked with some friends who are near experts on military stuff. All the things about non-citizen was confirmed by them ,but they say I have to check at first.
But does anyone know the US Army homepage?
I know this.
dentist and medical are free.
The payment is good.
Retirement after 20 years and very good payment there.
If young enough, become a policeofficer and get the retirement.
Then you can stop buying lotterytickets, you have already won.

Talon did you still have room for me. I'll pay if nessesary?

I seriously doubt that they will let you in, if you have that kind of an eye problem. I could be wrong, especially with all the people we have deployed over in the middle east, but they seem to be inordinately picky about physical ability/health these days. They won't let me in, and I'm just fine. The bone in my left arm is crooked from when I broke the thing completely in two, and apparently thats enough to keep me out.

And by the way, believe it or not, but we do have quite a few fighter plane pilots who wear glasses...so who knows..hehe

As far as I know, glasses and contactlenses are allowed within the infantry and other non-specialtroops.

Flag football in my Freshman P.E. class. We had a Freshman who started on the Varsity Defensive line. On one of the kick-offs, I didn't do anything, but I did stand in his way to make him go around me. Except that he didn't. He lowered his shoulder and hit me hard, literally knocking me back 8-10 feet. I landed on my elbow with my arm underneith me, and I broke my arm completely in two almost exactly midway between my elbow and shoulder.

I had to hold my arm up at the elbow with my other arm, 'cause it kept flopping around, and I had a nasty bulge in my arm where the bone almost cut through everything. The damn teacher wouldn't even believe me that it was broken, and the teacher's aid had to take me to the nurse's office, who refused to call 911. The hospital was right across the street, and I couldn't go there, either.

I had to wait about an hour for my dad to get the message and come pick me up at school. I should have sued. She also kept trying to put a sling on my arm, and messed it up three different times before I told her that if she touched me again, I'd kill her. One of the school councilor guys was in the office at the time, and he couldn't watch her do it. It made him sick, and he had to leave.

This is true. But you will be issued a pair of BCDs while you are in training and you will NOT be able to where your normal glasses until well after you are 'in the fleet'.

BTW BCDs are Military Issue Glasses. These glasses are sooooo damn ugly they got the name Birth Control Device or BCD for short because I guarantee that anyone wearing them will not have sex....ever.

When I was in as an E3 I made $947 take home each month. 3 meals, medical, dental and a roof was provided. So that was $947 extra cash each month.
I was in a special security battalion and left the military with a pretty high security clearance. Once I got home I literally had everyone from the Texas Rangers to the FBI (and 'other' groups) calling me daily asking me to join up with them. Military experience, namely high level security and infantry is a virtual free ticket to most law enforcement jobs in the U.S.

If you retire after 20 and manage to get a decent rank then you will be pretty comfortable for an early retirement, especially is you supplement that with a small income after you exit out.

Note the bold line. I think there are way to many lawsuits in this country... and I would sued their friggen balls off.

us.army.mil is the website
Pay has gone up, I bring home over $2200 per month as an E-4, and it is higher if you are in a combat zone. They are making everyone in the army become US citizens now, there is no choice. If you have anymore questions, just ask.
