Dark Age of Camolot (or however you spell it)...

This is a cut and paste from a recent e-mail I received. I do not nor have ever played this game...so take it as you will...I wonder what the PvP revamp in SWG will bring?

My game had it's new free expansion, the PvP expansion, which revamps how PvP takes place. It has turned something familiar, and turned it into a frustrating grind of keep (and now tower) sieges. The worst of the 3-way war was for Albion, the British races who had the largest team. Now, population has proved to be more powerful than skill, so they have all six relics, as opposed to my realm and the other having 3 each. In short, I think they have made a mistake and turned the game into something that is "fantastical" and grand on a very large scale. Impressive and easy to play for new players, but stealing the small-scale warfare that I have come to enjoy, being an old player. I can't just go out and search for good fights between small groups. I have to partake in an endless fight for territory, which pits me in a huge army against another huge army. (Hopefully mine is large enough, as it usually isn't) Personal skill is diminished, especially for classes that are mostly melee. Stealth classes can pick fights and excel, and the recent changes make archers nearly unstoppable in all aspects. It may be time to move on.

Just FYI...

Archers nigh unstoppable in mass...

Stealth attacks very effective...

It may be more realistic, but fun and balance are always better for a game than realism.

Oh I suppose so. I would really just like to see some basically realistic gameplay for a change instead of pseudo-crafting and hack and slash crap. I'm ready for next-generation gaming I suppose. I get bored too easy these days.
