If you answer Yes to (at least 4) of these questions, then you just may be a true Avian.

Questions:
1. I have The Avian Forums set as my home page.
2. I can click into the Avian forums blindfolded from my Favorites menu
3. I check the forums at a minimum 5 times a day (Unless out or ISP down)
4. I would rather spend time with Avians than with my family/significant-other.
5. I often don't response when people call me by my real name, but I will when they call me by my Avian Handle.
6. Games are for kids, and shouldn't be played by an adults. To which your response would be: "I need to feed my inner child." or "So What, I am a kid."

#1 - No, only because I don't want to miss any posts in case I can't go to the boards right then. Dont want it to show them as read when they really weren't.
#2 - Yep
#3 - Sometimes I do.
#4 - Done this before. One time my girlfriend (at the time) wanted me to visit her parents for the weekend. I told her I couldn't because I had a BoD meeting that Sunday.
#5 - Come on now. No.
#6 - At 21 years old I still consider myself a kid. Thats my excuse.
#7 - Yes. A couple polo shirts and a stainless steel coffee mug.
#8 - They sure do.

Sorry, but no....family is important to me....and if I had a girlfriend well, her and I would be together most of the time....allthough I have passed up on some family or friend things because I wanted to go on an Avian hunt...so I suppose I am guilty, hehe...but for the most part I'd go with the family or friends.

1) Nope - I tried it in the past, but ended up loosing new posts when I was going online for school or non-Avian things. About:Mozilla is my home page.

2) Yes to quicklaunch variant. For Avian I rarely use my favorites, I have Avian on my quicklaunch bar.


3) Yes – I check it 5 times when I am sick or out of town. I must check this thing 100 times per day when all is well.

4) No – depends on the family member. After 911 I am much more about family, so usually I opt to visit no matter how boring and painful. Once in the past I did make my wife go out of town by herself because we had a BoD meeting, and then I did it again when we had an event.

5) No – I respond to my real name still. But some non-Avian people call me by my 2 online aliases

7) Yes – I own a couple of Avian T-shirts

8 ) Yes- Everyone I know knows something about Avian.

I suppose I'd better answer these properly too!
1. no, blank page, it's faster, more convient and I usually have multiple windows open.
2. Avian forums aren't on my favourates as I don't use those, but I use the auto-complete drop-down in IE so I can get to the site by just typing "sw" and clicking the appropiate page.
3. no. Only once or twice per day, but I'm usually the only one on at the time so not much changes. I do tend to spend a couple of hours reading post though.
4. no, but I don't do much so I usually have time for it anyway!
5. no, I still find it strange to have people call me Antan, I'm far more used to being called X2 (especially as that was my nickname at school for a period)
6. I've heard of 90-yr-olds playing Quake so the statement simply isn't true!
7. no, I generally consider merchandise a waste of money, it would cost too much to ship from the US and I own more than enough random junk as it is!
8. not really, I've tried explaining it to my parents but they don't really care, I usually refer to Avian as simply "Starwars Forums" and no further questions are asked!

2. I type in www.swg-avian.net blindfolded, everytime...faster than finding it in my favorites.

4. Sometimes, I am afraid I want spend time with Avians and SWG than my family, friends and family usually win the contest though.

6. I'm 33, and I still sit at the kids table when I am on family gatherings...ergo, I am a kid...

8. Some of my friends know, but my family, they can barely comprehend that I am playing online games...
9. First thing I do in the morning is to check the newspapers, sometimes I have to find a harvester spot before I go to work, and sometimes I check to see if there are any new messages on the boards. I rarely reply before work though.
