And can I contribute money to the upkeep of the site so we can get rid of it? :P

Yeah, I'm fine too. See if you've got some spyware installed, Rocky.

Yeah. Sound like spyware.

Download Ad-Aware and get rid of that crap.

I did a little research based on the URL shown (identical to what Cyrus described) and that led me to Targetwords. It appeared to be something webmasters can load and make money with.

I actually have DLd and used both AdAware and Spybot but there are a number of items that return everytime I reboot. Working on getting rid of them...which may require a screwdriver, etching acid and a small amount of explosives.

My friend had that exact same problem…

I directed him to a Windows Media Player DL link, yet it took him to something else. What was happening to him was some program on his PC would randomly redirect his browser to other sites when he clicked a link.

-You may want to go to remove programs in your control panel, and try to remove anything that looks suspicious.

-You may also want to start in safe mode, then run ad-aware. Sometimes it can not remove things that are getting their foot in during startup.

There is a program that can show you what is running, and help remove it. I forget what it is called atm, though, 'cause I'm not that familiar with it. I'll see if I can find it for you, though.

OK, the site isn't working at the moment, but this is where you want to go:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html

Download CWShredder and HijackThis. They'll take care of your problem.

Since that sight is down, try this other one:
http://www.spysweeper.com/remove-coolwebsearch.html

It should also remove your problem. I have no idea why spywareinfo.com isn't up though.

Thanks for the info, Cetera. I'll run these when it's not so late and I'm not quite so sleepy :P
