thanks everyone.
is EE that big in north america? - in germany it is mechanical engineering and a combination of engineering and business administration that makes the most money.
i figured that if i am in for money i go for engineering otherwise if i am in for science and research i go for archaeoogy and geophysics... -
i think though that geoscience and archaeology could be more enjoyable - but yet i do have some passion for engineering as well...
i guess rom's idea would be the way to go - only that taking classes from each field is a hard thing to do since the german university system is a mess. there are 3 different types of programms to choose from which give you 3 different degrees.
and for some reason german universities got a wrong understanding of what baechelor-master studies are about: in germany they force you to specialize very early while you dont get much room for extra classes untill your in a master programm - so you dont really have a major-minor thing.
the programm that offers you a broader veriety is called 'magister' it allows you to choose 1 major and 2 minors or 2 majors. the problem with that is that you can only choose classes which are labeled as magister classes - and the magister programm is close to extinction since it is supposed to be replaced with the bachelor master system. besides there are liko no universities that offer engineering in a magister programm...
i am propably going to start out with something and get as much different classes into it as possible - and if its not what i thought i would like then i am going to to something else
