Nope, not talking about days of the week.

My Best Gamings days are behind me and in front of me. Just not now . I think when Alec gets to be a few years older I'll have myself a good gaming partner.

I part of the reason I left SWG (still debating a comeback) revolved more around what I was wanting to do with the game and my available time. Fmily comes first, which generally means that I have to trade sleep time for game time. Though SWG did allow me to do some factory run type of things with a quick 20 minute login.

Also, I don't have a schedule or popular hours I can play. Typically, I could get in around 4/5am and there are much fewer people on. I always felt like I was missing something and the game was somewhat reduced to a single player version for me. Matter of fact and game I aprticipate in the next few years will probably have to allow me to succeed as a single player.

What' the point of the post? Well I think CoH is losing it's appeal. It's a fun game for sure, but I really miss the complexity of a SWG/MMO and the long level grind without anything but the next power (every other level too) makes the game feel long and drawn out. Not to mention teaming can lead to a more frustrating game, but on the occassion it's where the game really shines.

I think (more when at this point than if) when Aeric resurfaces again I will have to pick up a profession that will allow to be more social, be worked in small amounts of game-time playing and allow me to solo. In some ways it will be new because I forgot who I had hold on to my 30 millino credits (I know I gave Angus one set of 30m for the tapes program, but I had another 30m for my eventual return.)

But, that may be part of the fun and I am thinking that late August will be my target date. Any thoughts on profession choices? I was last thinking Medic/TKA. Probably pick up some harvesters to earn some sideline credits or helping out people with hides/meats.

Have any other Advanced professions received a significant boost to make them worthy of playing/mastering?

I think JTL will allow that quick fix half hour login...maybe that'll be the lure for you to come back and figure how you'll have fun!

Well, I am looking to get back in before JTL (I think that will appear around October?).

Though putting my questions at the end of some meaningless dribble may not get my questions on professions answerd .

I think I am going BH, just because the devs have made me resent most Jedi... and if plugged into a good group, the hunt sounds like fun.

But really the whole combat revamp has me waiting to see what professions turn out good

See my post on SP's in the Member Galaxies folder...more specific than on professions, but you can see that I'm going Master CM and as high as I can on Pistoleer...should be able to do 4 l 1 l 3 l 4 at least. I used Stratics SP calculator and it said I could get another 2 or 3 boxes, but I dunno...didn't work out when i did it manually.

Additionally, I'm keeping up to Survey 2 in the artisan tree, and have to keep the 0 l 4 l 0 l 4 in Marksmen and all of Medic.

My reasoning is simple: CM to be of value on large hunts which I think will only become more prevalent / fun as the revamp, tweaks, etc are implemented over the next few months.

Pistoleer so I can still do missions and POI's on my own - and also fight while on hunts.

Survey 2 so I can make money selling resources.

I don't think JTL will impact me much as I don't plan on doing shipbuilding and the pilot profs will just add on to existing SP structure.

In terms of other profs, apparently the Chef revamp was pretty good. Plus, don't we have some profession holes, or we will with JTL?

If Obo doesn't get a third account and goes ship building what about DE? That was revamped as well.

Wanted to post something more related to your questions.

Also, wasn't there talk of forming an uber Avian Band? Could go the Entertainer route...maybe have a RP role with Mant and NiSAN?
