Ah, the old "he kicked our asses, he must be doping" arguement.. You know what, if you want to end the arguement once and for all, test EVERYONE on EVERYDAY for two months before the race... Problem solved... Point #2: The reason Lance kicks everyone's ass? He and his team simply train harder and longer, thats all... |

And if it was a French guy who won I would have say the same, I don't really care about cyclism anymore Mantison Tau'rus wrote: You know what, if you want to end the arguement once and for all, test EVERYONE on EVERYDAY for two months before the race... First, they take medicines during the tour (never heard of medicine boxes found in the trash near the hotels where the cyclists sleep ?) Second, what if everybody is found to be positive ? Well, nothing, because the Tour HAS to be. Too much money in this. Mantison Tau'rus wrote: Problem solved...

So, you don't think Lance and his team are just better than the other teams? Their drugs are just better? That is simply silly talking right there... There is a reason he won 6 in a row.... he wants it more than the others... I am not naive... I am simply saying if you want to stop drug use in cycling, do it... don't just sit around and bitch and moan... The almighty Germans have really good drugs too.... why then is Lance STILL kicking their ass in the Tour??? Give the man the respect he deserves......... |

of course but Ullrich found out that he didnt like them when he took extacy and therefore quit using them ![]() but seriously - there is a good reason for these roumors of armstrong using drugs: there is a cyclist filipeo simeonis (he is not very good - but apparently good enough for the tour de france). a few of years ago he tested positive and then confessed to doping. He was taken out of cycling for some time. Now he is the crown witness against a well-known therepist who supported him and others with drugs and monitored their training based on the drugs he had given them. This doctor happens to be armstrongs therapist now - go figure. He is actually Italian - so they must have good drugs too (is that the reason for basso coming in 3rd ?!). and armstrong said a couple of times that he is willing to do everything to win... - so you cant blame anyone that there are roumors under these circumstances. of course armstrong hasnt been tested positive - so i hope for cycling that he wasnt tested positive bc they invented a drug that cant be detected yet. one thing that really bothers me about armstrong was his behavior on some stages: on the 18. stage a couple of cyclist broke away from the peloton, shortly after that this simeoni broke away to follow them - armstrong himself followed simeoni and when they caught up with those who had gotten away before armstrong told them that as long as simeoni was with them he would order his team to increase the tempo so that the peloton would eventually catch up unless simeoni allowed himself to fall back into the peloton first. later in an interview armstrong said that he did it for the good of cycling - now how sick is that ? trying to put the pressure on someone who testifies against a doctor who is said to be drugging cyclist. if armstrong really was that much of a champion he wouldnt care and let results speak for him. |
