I hope you cant crash these ships. I might need lots of repairs!

Somewhere I read that there was no collision damage with ships your size. You may fill a bump and loose speed, but you will take no damage.

Asteroids, and Big ships will deal damage should you collide with them. So you should be ok as long as you don’t hit anything bigger than you. :P

Ive read good things about this one. I will definately be buying a Joystick for JTL and I am leaning in this direction.

Has anyone used a saitek joystick before? I need to buy one for bf1942 desert combat since my last one crapped out on me. In this small town the only joystick (besides gamepads) I have found is a saitek brand and have been leary about purchasing it due to the fact that there isnt alot of option unless I order it online or travel.

I have had a couple of Saitek items before. Honestly my opinion of them is decidedly negative, but not for any really good reason. Mostly they just never seem to "feel" as well constructed as the Wingman or Thrustmaster stuff. I am using the Wingman 3D Pro right now, and have been for several years. Couldn't be happier with it. Its got a really good, firm feel to it. I don't get the sense that I might be "too rough" on it and its basically got the full array of features.

A friend of mine got one of the Cordless Freedom 2.4's a while back, which is basically identical to mine, only no wires. I have been seriously considering one of them after seeing his, but that 3D Pro just hangs on and hangs on and I can't justify changing it :P

I have my trusty ol' Thrustmaster Mark II FCS that I used back in the X-Wing days. :)

It's a bit lacking, only four buttons and the hat, so I might have to think about getting something a bit newer. But I've been to the other side of the galaxy and back with that thing and it'd be hard giving it up.

Yeah, my 3D Pro has been with me since my XvT days, and it served me well then. Don't know than I want to change it up before JTL comes out :D
