I have recently been seeing a slew of brute force attacks on this server originating from RIPE Communications in Amsterdam. I am going to nuke traffic from the entire ISP unless someone gives me a good reason not to.

The regional devs now have direct control over threads. Inability to post will keep the local systems in line.

Its somebody attempting to hack the box. They are hitting the SSH service and the POP3 service over and over again trying to log in as "root" "admin" and "guest". They won't get anywhere, but I dont appreciate my email getting filled up with security notification after every 3 of their failed attempts.
