I had read earlier that this title was coming out Sept 1 but my local FutureShop/BestBuy does not have it yet. Has it been delayed again?

No.. I think Sept 1 was when they were letting the rest of the people download the assets early. You can log on to stream now, download the HL2 files, and then when it is offically released, type in an access code and play right away.

Novemeberish is last I heard (hasn't gone gold yet), but it can come before then if it wants. :)

Most things I've seen seem to revolve around a mid-late September release. It's true that you can preload HL2 through Steam as Warnel pointed out, and this has been true for almost a week I think (I preloaded mine before this past weekend). CS:S beta has also been going on a couple weeks, which will be released with HL2, so that date range certainly seems to be a viable one.

I've heard that it was delayed 'cause a hacker had stolen a copy of the main code.
My first choise of game magasine still says unknown. An other magasine says spring 2005.
To be honest I still wait, 'cause I was a little disappointed with doom 3.
Already finished it after 4 days of play.
Don't let it freighten the rest of you. It is still a good experience with all the horror. But I had hoped it was a little bit longer and required a little more brain.
(Technicly I'm saying I'm smart, bright, clever and ingelligent 8) )

The hacker delay was from last year, as it was supposed to come out 4th quarter 2003.

I used to play CS hours, and hours, and hours! Loved it, but, I've been out of it for over a year now. Can someone post some good links to HLII or CS2 sites so I can start getting up to date on this? I am very much looking forward to this release!
