I tried the Google Desktop .. it was nice, but, it did slow my system down a bit. I keep MS Development Environment, Lotus notes (ugggg - company thing), Oracle reports, and Oracle running at all times, and, after installing google desktop things ran at a crawl. I let it index over night, but, the next day it was the same .. so, had to get rid of it. After un-install everything went back speedy again. |

I looked at Google desktop thinga nd I might install it. The thing I don't like about it, it seems to only work with some Microsoft products - I use Eudora for email and am considering going to FireFox for browsing for security reasons. |

I loaded up the google desktop at home. I would try firefox but I've heard some sites are finicky and won't work without IE and I don't want the hassle. |
