Hey all you that think you've got some skills... Here's a great website to sest how good you really are. I've just finished 6 of the 15 challenges... definately a humbling experience that I haven't been able to do more.

Think I have solutions to a few of them, but my headers won't play nice.

There used to be a good site called hackerslab.org, which let you do a series of tests on a linux box, but it seems to be gone now.

Got 7 of them so far. Not what I thought it was at first glance (which is you'll always find the answer in the source comments type ones :P). Some really tough ones there.

My current progress

Very nice! My progress here: http://jacka18l.templeofgloom.com/profile.php?id=207

I got 7, too. Though I got #5 while you got #7 (which was alot harder).

How come I thought you were the only good competition here. ;)

Now I'm going to have to redouble my efforts!

Up to 8. Got the zip one out of the way.

Focusing on #11, but as near as I can tell the password isn't a dictionary word, although I still have to pass it through a few more variants.

Yeah, I taught myself assembly code* yesterday. That sucked. Then, I hear that there's a much simpler way (though no one's shared it with me yet).

*at least, enough to run programs at arbitrary points wthin ther binary code.

There's another site that has the same type of stuff (although some is really crypto stuff instead of hacking).
