Post subject:  Game Categorization help

I am working on a new webite
*shameless plug http://questloot.com is my other site *
and I need some help in organizing a few games into catergories.

The choices are:
MMORPG(MPOG), Strategy, FPS, RPG

how would you catergorize:
NeverWinter Nights
Diablo II

I have seen Diablo listed as both FPS and RPG and I can only have one.

Also, I need a category for general games like GTA and KotOR

Thanks for your help

I cant really see Diablo as a FPS, (First Person Shooter) it means that you see through the eyes of the character, and you in diablo you have a view from above.

I think KOTOR also would be an RPG, as you play the role of a character, and possibly also same with GTA .

DII was MO if the category exists. It was multiplayer and Online. Blizzard claimed it was a MORPG.... all though from my experience it was extremely light on the Roll Play part. It was not massive because you could only have 8 players at a time....

I would go with MORPG... of if you could not modify the catagory put it in MMORPG.... that does not fit it exactly, but I think it is as close as it gets.

As for KtoR. Call it RPG. It is just like FF and all thoses.

They are all definatively RPG. There's no doubt.

Diablo is listed as an RPG, but it really was an excellent hack n' slash action game. the RPG elements were very light. You could modify your attributes and collect better gear.

Also it was a Single Player Game as well and a Multiplayer online game

I'd say both are RPG. No way can either be FPS. MO maybe but RPG sums them best.
