hi, i am just trying to become a bit more active again. i might even come back for WoW when its released in europe. the reason i wasnt active over the last couple of months was that i got mad at swg for being a game that at least i felt isnt worth playing unless you have the time to play straight for 3.5h or how long your buffs last.... i was also fed up with the lack i experienced at hot spots and how un-star-warsy that made me feel... not the mention the grind... anyways - i like that avian is still together as a guild, organized in their respective boards while playing numerous games simultaniously. i dont really know what to contribute as long as i am not picking up on another game - but whatever ![]() it saddens me though to see angus and df quit.... but blame swg on it... is it just me or do other ppl have the feeling as well that swg never lived up to the potential behind it? as far as i can read WoW seems to be a lot better - although not as much emphasizing on crafting but i dont hear as many people talking about what should have been improved and so on... cyas |

Hey there! We do have a few people still playing SWG. But most of our members have moved on to better games. We have some that are not in any game, they just hang out and have fun chatting. I find both sad and hilarious that the SWG Devs said: We gamers do not know what we want in a game.... That SWG is doing great and only the vocal minority are dissatisfied…. That even though we don’t know it, we all wanted JtL and Jedi before we wanted good GCW, working specials, and more content than can be found printed on toilet paper. If that sewage the SWG devs spouted was so true, why has Avian gone from 200 SWG players to 5 or 6? Why have House Lymbo and TCO, both thriving player associations, withered to nothing just like Avian. Why did almost every gaming magazine and online publication give SWG failing scores. The fact of the matter is none of that dev sewage was true. SWG devs were out of touch with their players. The final straw was when I was in beta and read the daily beta tester surveys. ALL OF THEM GAVE JTL NEGITIVE REVIEWS, AND ALL SAID JTL WAS NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO KEEP PLAYERS PLAYING. SWG NEEDED WAY MORE HELP THAN JTL. Yet the loyal SWG players bashed anyone who spoke the truth. If I said JTL was not enough for me and hundreds of other testers, some fan boy would attack me personally. I saw then that the SWG players were as blind as the developers, and that many of them would either innocently or knowingly lie to other gamers to promote their broken product. That was the final straw for me. At that moment I looked at myself and decided I was, from now on, loyal to fellow players… not genres, companies, or favorite ideals. I was going to be honest to Players, Players who may not have enough money to buy bad games, or Players who just want the honest scoop about big titles. From then on I could not be part of SWG because almost everyone involved with SWG from the ground up would lie, cheat, and steel in order to fool more people into keeping accounts open or buying the new expansion. I wanted to love SWG. I gave it several years of my life. When I got a sock hat form Jabba Missions I should have known SWG was not the Star Wars I was looking for. Even then I held on, believing the game would be fixed. I waited and waited, and all I got was unexplained delays and more Dev sweage. Right now I am loving WoW. I hear EQII is making players happy too. But for my money, there is appears to be no game better than WoW. The magazines and online publications are giving raving reviews for the newest MMOs. This has caused SWG developers to really turn up the heat. SWG is planning on sweeping revamps, and all of them sound wonderful. But I refuse to be fooled again. I am playing WoW until WoW disappoints. My subscription payments belong to Blizzard until they do me wrong. |
