Any other fans of the Total War series here? We need more strategy gamers in here!

I'm playing through a campaign in Medieval Total War again. Addictive game. I'm thinking of digging up Shogun Total War when I'm through with this one. Extremely fun games. Haven't played Rome Total War yet. Looks sweet. Word on the street is, they are developing "Middle Earth Total War." Now that's pretty awesome.

Did some more seaching on the Middle Earth TW. Apparently it's a mod you can get for the Medieval version. Guess that'll teach me to do my research first. Here's the link.

here's a teaser trailer too.

I've played the demos but never brought the games, they are all kinda fun though. Currently playing Battle for Middle Earth which is similar but probably more supported by License then gameplay

Battle for ME is strictly RTS though isn't it? The TW series is much more about turn based strategy.

Its an RTS but when a map mode in which you select which army you want and move it about to engage specific areas, unfortunitly Force events like Helms Deep occur at specific times, and even then the distance your troops are from Helms deep for reinforcment, does not matter you have to hold on for something like 15 minutes if your troops are next door, or saying hello to gondor...

---
So question in that Middle Earth mod does it change the Map to one of Middle Earth? Or are the roharians still figting over england?

Ive been wanting to get something from the TW series. If I find the available cash for it I think I might jump on that.

You can pick up Shogun real cheap now. Probably find it for less than $10 in EB's bargain bins.

I haven't tried the ME mod yet, so i don't know the answer to that question DF.

I've been meaning to get Rome TW for a while, but I'm not paying full price for it. More interested in KOTOR2.

Have the other two though.

What's the best way to play Multiplayer battles? Is there a good server somewhere or how do you do it? Anybody play multiplayer before?
