Lucas Arts just released screenies from their upcoming RTS.

It's planned for a Fall 2005 release and is set between "Revenge of the Sith" and "A New Hope".
The creation of the rebel alliance and Darth Vaders rise to power are among the tidbits leaked so far from the game :)

Normally I don't much like RTS games, but this one has me waiting for more info. I really wish they would combine something like this with the old Rebellion game.

Im a sucker for a good RTS. Problem is they usually dont keep my interest after 3-4 good 12 hours gaming sessions :)

this one looks good, Star Wars + RTS = many sleepless nights.

As long as they screw it up like "Force Commander" and Galactic Battlegrounds. I've been most disappointed about those titles.
I do wanna try Rebellion, haven't yet.

In general I think SW-games are very good, but from time to time some just sucks.
A small list:
Star Wars: Battle for Naboo
Star Wars: Force Commander
Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds SAGA
Star Wars: Starfighter
Star Wars: Battlefront

Rogue Squadron, the first one, I feel is between good and bad, but I have also stopped playing it. Too much arcade.

But the listed games aren't quite objectively jugded. I do prefer that a game should be original, not based on other games successes, like Galactic Battlegrounds. It was based too much on the Age of Empire. It didn't have it's own style.
Acctually I don't know how to say it, but in my opinion the listed games sucked. Sorry. I hope I haven't scared anyone away from trying the games. You have to try the games, before you can jugde them.

Force Commander was ok, could have been better.
But Empire at War is being developed by the guys who made 'Command and Conquer' so I'd guess they know what makes a good RTS :D
