If you're like me and have a metric buttload of passwords to maintain, you probably have some kind of tool already in place. I used to use a password protected Excel spreadsheet. As of today, I use this. KeePass manages your passwords in a neat, easily organized and highly encrypted database secured by a single password. For every password you enter, including the big daddy that gets you into the program, a handy little display shows the bit strength of that password. Additionally, there's space for an identifier, username, password, URL, note and expiry date for each entry.

Once the program's open, you can set and option so when you close it, it only minimizes to the system tray and locks itself. You can easily access your passwords again with a quick click and re-entry of the master pass. There is no charge for the program, it's all open source. Check it out, you may like it.

The URL one more time: http://keepass.sourceforge.net/

**EDIT** Almost forgot, they also have a PocketPC version of the app.

I need to remind myself of this regularly.
