I love planetside i love it so much (i havent even got a br 20 cr 5 yet)

ive made 15 chars on ps and i love ps and i think its a great fps and it does have some roleplaying being a super breed vanu, new conglomerate, terran republic.

If anyone agrees that we should make a Planetside Sub-Guild plz sign this petition

Delsana,
What is it that you like about Planetside? I've only seen the box and read a few reviews, haven't yet tried it out. What distinguishes it from other FPSs?

I played the Beta, and while I'm not a FPS fan really I did find Planetside pretty interesting. There were only 2 things that bothered me.

Firstly there was some lag, and thats a game-killer in a FPS while a MMORPG is not so sensitive to lag. and maybe this has since been addressed.

Secondly the game play, while interesting, was not so unlike the Free FPS's out there to get me to pay a montly fee. Yes yes there is some skill development, but it didn't seem enough to get me to pay, while Counterstrike was free. (Considering how infrequently I cared to play a FPS)

So, I'm clearly not the best representation of a gamer looking to Planetside, but just my opinion.

I played it during a trial period (thanks to Locke) its a good game FPS wise lots of fun determining what skills you wanted which is really just very much like other FPS's Classes with more variablility.

In terms of large scale combat it is great at times you get into a decent base assualt, although at times the time between respawn and battle can be longer. As well as the fact that more often then not the odds are overwhelming and unless your in the first wave you probably won't see a ton of action. The Vehicles are a lot of fun, Jumping out of the carrier with a squad is awesome assualting a base like that etc...

Its a good game but I have a problem paying 15 a month for FPS, Especially when u can get BF2, Halo etc.. which are honestly just smaller versions of Planetside. That being said if I came accross a trial for it again I'd be all over it.

Yeah, I bought the game and played it for a few months when it first came out.

It was fun, but got a bit repetitive. I'm sure with the expansions added functionality it would be fun again for a month or two, but as others have said paying for FPS games, doesn't seem to be worth it.

The game is 10,000 times better than the beta. There's no lag problems anymore. I played it for a while, on and off, but when WoW came out I stopped playing all other games.

I love it so much i enjoy the constant updates as yet since i used my current game card for EQ ii i wish id done it for PS i love ps and its so much fun... so sign my petition :)

As for what i like about it, as i said the constant new things to add, being a vanu and owning everyone with a pulsar, flying in a reaver and delivering mayhem, blowing up anything i want to blow up :)

As for a more advanced form of description

The fps is mmorpg instead of having all that lag that they have from huge massive battles and the graphics and freezes ive never seen them have any of that, the menus are easy to use, leveling can take a while but with great benefits, instead of having a maximum of 40 players you have a maximum of 15000 players in a server, theirs so many servers 3 Races and they all have unique propertys sure the NC's Newbhammer has always been annoying and the TR's Mininewbgun and then the VS's LAGsher but those are heavy weapons and every fps has differences that you need to overcome. So in total this is the best FPS i have ever played i recommend all those who want to try something new and fun sign this petition

P.S. Half life 2 is a major dissappointment, Halo is nothing like Planetside, those are if anything 1% scale representations of PS

Thank you

Sincerely, Lancestrian

:) Delsana, I hate to have to be the one to burst your bubble, and I hope this doesn't put a bad taste in your mouth for Avian, because I think you have a lot to offer Avian, and vice-versa. Your enthusiasm is refreshing, and I look forward to getting to know you better, as I'm sure we all do.

But here's the bad news: You have to be a member to head up a sub-guild, or Wing. Once your application has been approved, I have no problem with you continuing to try to organize a PS Wing.

In reality however, at the present time, we don't seem to have enough interest from Avians to justify a new Wing. Certainly that doesn't mean that you can't gather up the few Avians that we DO have here that like the game enough to play some, and organize your own in-game outting or what have you. By all means, please do! As for people signing a petition for a game that they won't play much if at all, I think we've learned through experience that this is not such a good idea. And we wrote the Charter clause on the subject to reflect that signing members should be members that actually intend to play the game and be involved in it.

Like I said, don't let this discourage you! Good luck with your application, and please continue to interact here on the boards and in-game until it is approved! :) Thanks!!

I played it for awhile at release but it was unplayable for me, at the time I was on dialup and couldnt come near any decent battles without lagging all to hell and back. Had a bit of fun in support roles and as a sniper but it wasnt enough to keep me interested due to the lag I had elsewhere in the game.

Just remember that it is part of the Station Pass. This may actually make the game a draw once more Avians are signed up for the pass.
