So here I sit in a dark tech booth in a dark theatre. After pulling 3 15 hour days loading in this massive show I was asked to be a stagehand for the show - I agreed. The job I was given...sitting in the booth and at the very top of the show operating a spotlight for about 3 minutes then I sit for 90 minutes then I run up to the grid (above the stage) and at the very end of the show I raise a curtain drop. BORING!!!

So if you see a rash of spam threads from me over the next few days you know that it is me and my wireless connection sitting 35 feet above a stage in pitch black with 8 dancers dancing below me. :)

You could just sit there and watch the show!

I was stage hand for a Chuckle Brothers show once (Yeah, I bet most of you have no idea who the Chuckle Brothers are!) Basically all I did was operate a wooden "stone" door to a cave of wonders type thing. But they had some Magicians who did intermissions between scenes and those were fun to try and work out how the effects are done (although half of the tricks are fairly to work out from the side of the stage kinda spoils the illusion though!

show 1 underway...1 more later tonight. I was given another que - Im up to 3 now.

As for watching the show. I usually relish in watching the shows I work. The MCA really brings in amazing stuff, but this show is crap and the touring crew are D**KS! So here I sit taptaptaping away.
