Post subject:  HBO miniseries Deadwood
Anyone watch Deadwood regularly?

I saw my first episode tonight and am quite intrigued. I have an opportunity to get the first season pretty reasonably priced. Lemme know if you have an opinion on it. As miniseries go, HBO usually does an incredible job.

Love it...I am an HBO elitist.

Essentially the only TV I watch:

- The Wire
- Deadwood
- Sopranos
- Rome (HBO due out end of year / fall timeframe)

- Tilt (ESPN...not that good, but fun)

First season of Deadwood is great. Getting to know the characters and the ensemble way the stories are driven by them means you'll never get bored.

Same here! Of course, I have to add in the Stargate series to that list, as well as Carnival (even though it is VERY weird). :)

I'm so looking forward to Rome. Deadwood is a pretty good show .. I put it on the bottom of my list, but, it is on my list :) hehe

Whew...I guess I'll have to put Deadwood on my favorites list. It's 5:30 am and I just finished watching the first seven episodes back to back. :D

I'm hoping to see sleazy little E. B. Farnum scalped alived then drawn and quartered. Lap dogs of the bad guys are somehow a little worse in my eyes. ;)

pretty cool episode....didn't like the opening though. I was hoping for an opening with more fanfare...too much like Six Feet Under...IMHO
