ok, I'm gonna go out on a limb here. I may look like the idiot, but I'm going to go ahead and ask... WHAT THE HELL IS IT??

Munchkin is a term for players, usually angst-ridden, who play super-high level characters in DND-type games. Usually, you can recognize them by their +5 boots of ass kickin, +5 socks of running, +5 jock strap of manliness, etc.

SJG (Steve Jackson Games) makes a card game where you play munchkin characters. Looks like with this, you can buy the guys a monitor, and they'll make you into a character in the game.

Munchkin is a very fun and fastpaced card game.
If you've ever player roleplaying games you'll recognize a lot of stereotypes and situations :)

Definately recommended :)

Tip #2 The card game "Lunchmoney" : have fun beating your friends up :D

Neither of these are trading card games!

Well, they are. But every card is common.

Really common.

Lunchmoney kicks butt!

I bought this when it first came out. It may not be a "Trading Card Game" but it is perfect for luring people into the wonderful addiction of TCGs.

However, the card game that is far better than either of these is Illuminati. The TCG is pretty good, but the original Boxed game is best. This is one of the games that put Steve Jackson Games on the map.

How is illuminati? I've always wanted to play that one...

Next time I'm at a game store, I might just have to pick some of these up...

If you can find the original Box Game get that. It's really fun with 4 to 6 players. You can play it with three and still have a fairly fun game, but even though it's designed for two or more players it is pretty lame playing it with only one other person.

If you can't find the old box game and can only get the TCG you really need to get a decent amount of cards. At least 4 starter decks and 20 or more boosters just to start. The bigger the variety of cards the better with this.

It definitely requires all players to like having fun. Not for the Stuffy people. If you are entertained by Conspiracy Theories this is your game.
