Interesting post, Moon. I read some of Sheldrake's books and most of them make some weird claims like the one about the brain quoted there with next to no way to prove them scientifically. They make for interesting thought experiments, but have no value as a scientific theory, because they make no predictions that can be disproven.

The idea that the brain is not much more than a receiver for the mind is not original to Sheldrake, however.
