At 10:47 pm last night (May 26th), we delivered our 2nd baby girl! Anna Grace weighed 7 lbs 13 oz, and measured 19 inches. Everybody is healthy and happy, and hopefully I'll be able to get some pictures up soon!!

I've been out of the loop, I didn't even come close to expecting this.

Congrats! 2 girls for you, as if you weren't outnumbered before.

/shares a cigar with Talon and Angus :)

We need some Avians to start making some Boys. I'll get to work on that all I need is one of those things, what are they called? Oh right a wife! /mentalnote get wife to make Avian Boys with.

Grats to Talon! Name, do we get a name? Aviana sounds like a good one but then again so does Mogina

Its interesting about the all girls thing...my wife's friends as well as mine are all having boys...except for my brother whose 8 years older than i am having his 4th child (while I have none). He's having a girl which will bookend the middle two boys.

There's been talk of "proof" that during "war-time" more boys are born than girls...not sure how much stock I put in that...

Congrats, Talon, ya old dog!! Great name for the little one - I especially like her middle name! :P

As to the boy/girl question, I remember hearing an old wive's tale that if you wanted a girl, you simply put your wife's "needs" ;) before your own during conception; for a boy, be selfish. Who knows for sure but it seems to have worked.

Congrats

I know that with crocidiles the infants are genderless prior to hatching and their gender depends on the temperature at which they're incubated.

I did hear somewhere of being able to ensure either a boy or a girl at point of conception, but can't actually remember the mechanism.

Are you sure? Didn't see a post or topic or anything in here then?

No a requirement, but it is almost a tradition around here.

Congratz to both of you.

Anna is a perfect choice of name, picked that one for my daughter as well.

Thanks guys! It's been a crazy weekend. We came home 2 days after Anna was born, and had to go back in the next morning on account of Anna having a touch of jaundice. For those who don't know, that's nothing serious. Just a build-up of red blood cells that the kidneys can't work fast enough to flush out. So we went back to the hospital for a night and threw her under the UV lights and all is better and momma and Anna are coming back home this afternoon. :)
