I think it is pretty cool that you can place the keys anywhere you like. I only wonder how well they stay in place.

$150 is a tad much but if it works well it could be well worth it. I also question its ergonomic abilities for long gaming sessions.

In concept it is very cool though with a geek factor of 9.7.

love the idea. but i'll stick to my nostromo. if it was a little more ergonomic(mainly including a palm rest) i'd go for it. but WoW for 12 hours kills the hand/wrist without some kind of ergo system.

i <3 nostromo.

Ala, what kind of config do you use for WoW with your Nostromo. I had one setup for a while but I was finding that once I started to get used to using it, I was *really* thrown off when I went on the road (travel mouse, smaller KB and then NO NOSTROMO!) I guess if I really got attached to it, I could pack it :P But the config I had setup just wasn't something I couldn't be with out.

I saw a guy who had their felxbar set up to work with the n52.

The player was a rogue and had flexbar setup to change based on the states. ie stealth, combat, non-combat. The flex buttons would change based on these states. His n52 was set up to work with those buttons. By far this was the coolest setup I have heard of. I will see if I can find the post again. The post is somewhere in here

I get out of my last final tonight at 8pm, but then I have to get the house ready for my parents so there goes my Friday and Saturday. :( Hopefully by Sunday all that is over and I can get back to the game. I want to work on my UI and all the fine touches such as new class layouts and n52 settings. I have been drooling to set up some cool stuff for my rouge and warlock.

The pimped out forum has several creative flexbar layouts

rock, its a basic setup. i havent fine-tuned it yet. movement keys along the top two rows and randomness with the rest. going to set it up for each class when i get time.

i mainly got it to prevent hand aches and cramping.

as far as flexbar goes...its too involved for me. i use the insomniax comp and it has BibMod. gives you 7, 8 button bars all moveable and you can change the layout. also, each button can be bound to a key through the normal keybindings section.

OMG!!! That guy is amazing. I too am a minimalist and was dying to find a way to get rid of all those hotbar/toolbar buttons everywhere.

The flexbar mod along with n52 macros is sheer genious. And to get it to monitor in-game states is truly beautiful.

In many ways the Ergodex DX1 Input System is like flexbar. For both you positions buttons where you want them, and assign whatever commands you want to those buttons.

I would love to be able to pull off this Warlock Flexbar UI. It is an old one, but I have never had the chance to duplicate it.

Here are the pics incase the thread ever dies:
