Post subject:  Any Horde Plans?

I looked through the posts here and I didn't see anything mentioned about playing as our dark counterparts so please forgive me if I'm asking something that you guys have already been over.

Are there any plans for a Horde side of Avian? Is anyone even interested in this?

At some point in the future I plan to see how the other side lives and just wondered if anyone else was planning the same thing at some point. It could even be a cool way for us 'newbies' to meet the endgamers. Just a thought.
Thanks

Sly

I'm sure some of the WoW-addicts will post soon, but there's a Horde guild already set up called 'Scourge of Avian'. I'm not sure what their plans for world domination are, but I'm sure involves killing dorfs.

We have a small group of Horde players. I have a level 23 Tauren Shaman, and my younger brother has a level 26 Tauren Shaman. There are a couple of characters higher level, but not too many. Most of the Avian presence is on the Alliance side, as it is simply where most of us wanted to start, and now its where all the action takes place in guild chat.

Recently there are always a minumum of 5 or 6 people that are online on the Alliance side anytime I log on, with lots more during peak hours. But when I log on my Horde guy, I would say 80% of the time, I'm the only one there. The exceptions to this are when I set up times to play with my brother. But usually the Horde side is pretty darn quiet.

The above posts are accurate. We do have a Horde presence but it is sparse compared to our Alliance masses.

I, personally, have 3 Horde toons ranging from level 5-12 (undead and tauren). There a few others with toons in this level range that I liked to group up and quest with a month or 2 ago.

I am going to include this in our WoW threads as a topic of suggestion, maybe get a casual Horde night or Horde week set with a few peeps so that we can have some fun on that side too.

I think the big problem is that there is so much fun to be had anywhere in WoW (both Alliance and Horde) that there's often not enough time in a day to do both.

A Horde gathering would be a greta way for all our levels to mix together seeing how we would (mostly) be starting from the same level.

Does anyone else think it's silly to have the Horde guild on the same server as the Alliance guild?

1) if the server goes down, What now?

2) less room for alliance alts

Just asking.

I've thought about the alt server for Horde too. I created an undead named Sanskin along with Sly, Daimania, Dartak, and Doven the other night when our instance crashed on it. The undead /silly completely rules all other races heh. I do want a Tauren though. I think a horde night would be cool. It's a nice little breather, all new areas to explore, quests etc. Just something to do on the side.

I posted my thinking for keeping them on Dalaran elsewhere but here's the gist. Intra-guild PvP Battlegrounding. Anyone heard anything about the Dev's plans (or lack thereof) of allowing people or maybe just guild leaders to create their own BG instances?

Edit for double post.

I think it would be very difficult to have an effective Avian vs. Avian Battleground. Levels are too spread out, its difficult to get the right matchups for the grouping of the battlegrounds (who gets in on one instance and whether or not that ends up corresponding with the other side's group instance). If they don't implement a guild instance, we won't have any chance of really making it work. And personally, I don't think they ever will. It would limit the population in current battlegrounds too drastically, I think.

I would love to see us move to another server for a Horde alt group. It'd be nice if we could finally join up with Flyoc in game with Horde toons. And it would offer a bit of a different change of pace having a PVP alt server.

That's not a bad idea Cet (i.e. getting an Avian PvP Horde presence on Shadowmoon). I would still love a guild BG but that full PvP setting might be just a nice enough change.

That's the alternative.
Naturally I have low level characters on each on those. Dalaran and Shadowmoon Horde
