I have the following settings for my PDA to connect to Gmail through my wifi connection. Quote: Enter e-mail address: my-address@gmail.com
Your Name: My Name User name: my-name@gmail.com Password: xxxxxxxxx Save password: Checked Account type: POP3 Account Name: Gmail-BT Incoming mail: pop.gmail.com:995 Outgoing mail: smtp.gmail.com:465 Domain: Left blank Options: Connect to server for message: Unchecked Connection: The Internet Only display messages from the last 3 days: Checked Require SSL connection: Checked Get message headers only Check include 2K I can recieve mail, but I get error messages that wont let me send mail. Below is the message: The message(s) could not be sent. Check that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct. Then try again. Yak, anybody, do you know how I can fix this? |

Are you sure that's the correct smtp server for gmail to send through? You might try another one that you can find off the web... (though, they're difficult to find nowadays due to spam issues)... if it's the correct one, check your device to make sure port 465 is open on it's internal firewall... |

try smtp.gmail.com578 also do check your firewall as that may be blocked. |
