| Post subject: | Saints play Dolphins in Tiger Stadium |
The Saints will play 4 games in Tiger Stadium and 3 games in San Antonio. The first game in Tiger Stadium will be against the Miami Dolphins. For those of you that don’t know, Nick Saben who is the current head coach of Miami was LSU’s head coach for the past few years. He was the highest paid college football coach in the country, but last year, before the season was over he took the job as head coach of the Miami Dolphins. Many LSU fans are bitter over that. LSU Tiger Stadium seats something like 25K more people than the superdome. Arrangements are being made to insure that LSU Students get a good portion of those additional seats. I expect over 92K fans will attend that game just to boo Saben back out of Louisiana. It is going to be one hell of an event. I think the Saints suck, always have sucked, and I wish they would leave LA so we could have a chance at getting a good team. But the opportunity to give Nick hell is enough for me to buy a ticket. |

He gave you guys some great years and you want to boo him? Seems odd to me that you (collective) wouldn't wish someone well who did you (still collective) right. That's like a guy winning MVP in minor league play and calling him a quitter because he landed a contract as a MLB player. As Patriot fan, anything that makes a divisional rival lose, works for me

Yeah, I don’t discount that. I just disagree with announcing your leave before the bowl games are over. Good character would suggest that is something you announce after all games are played. It did not good to announce his leave when he did. Plus hearing years of “I am not going anywhere, there is no place like Baton Rouge, and no fans like LSU fans”, “I have coached in the NFL… in the NFL you have less control of your team, in NCAA a head coach has more control of all aspects of the team… I am not going anywhere”; makes you sick when you realize that all that was smoke up you ass. He is a good coach- Yes. But do we dislike him- Yes |

Yeah, I can see your point there. But the miami game isn't this week for you as they are at the Jets. |

It is like if Obo quit Avian to go be webmaster for powerpuffgirls-online. We would be pissed, no matter how much good he did here. Yeah the Saints Dolphins game is Oct30 I think. |

I'd disagree with that. I think he should announce as soon as he knows he's even considering another position. That would allow for the search of a new coach to begin as quickly as possible .. because recruiting is very important in college, and, good college coaches will go quite quickly. What if he had waited an all the "good" coaches that were available were already hired. I don't think it would be good character to not announce because the time constraints. I've seen many a college coach announce a new job before their current shools bowl game. Just my opinion  Of course, as a DAWG fan, I'm glad Saben is gone, and hope his successor stinks it up
