It seems like there was a thread on this amazing show here a few months ago, but I couldn't find it.

Any other fans?

I just finished watching the first season. Oof. It's quite good. I'm very excited to see the Season Premiere come out on 21 September.

For those of you who are fans, check out: http://www.oceanic-air.com/

Seriously, which girl. The asian girl is absolutely smoking and the scene when she was wading in the surf in a bikini was unbelievable. The other two female leads are also complete hotties too.

I believe the series has only just started over here. It seems interesting from what I've seen, My sister's quite into it.

I'm a big fan. Love the story, and all the leads do a great job. I also like how easy it is for them to bring in new characters, since there are far too many survivors for us to have actually seen them all.

And the fact that they have been able to get many of the extras from the Pilot episode to return, and sometimes take on speaking roles. Great casting job.

This season we are supposed to find a few survivors from the tail of the ship, which was believed to have fallen into the ocean. I can't wait to see how they write that in.

I was thinking those guys would show up in the last episode to save the day or something... but I guess you're right that they're waiting 'till the next season.

It's funny how looking around at forums has everyone talking about aliens or somethings weird like that... but would aliens put Human Numbers on their portholes, I asks yas?

The Numbers are my favorite. It reminds me very much of the Dark Tower books by Stephen King.

I'm a huge fan of the show and I bought the DVD set too. It's neat to watch them all again and pick up things I missed. Especially the importance and ubiquity of the different numbers through out the series. The airport scenes alone are full of the numbers everywhere you look. Plus the DVD doesn't have commerical breaks every 8 minutes.

On that Oceanic website... anyone find the hidden text? :)

I did not start watching it tell the last few shows so can someone fill me on? I want to start watching it this season but I also want to have a clue as to whats going on. And whats with the numbers you all are talking about?

Author:  evergamer [ Mon Sep 19, 2005 4:02 pm ]
Post subject:

uhhhh....honestly there is WAY too much information to just fill someone in.

you will either have to rent the season, or have a long, long discussion with someone to appreciate it.

i love this show, i have not gotten around to watching the last 3 or 4 episodes yet. last one we watched was the death, if i remember correctly.

The best summary of all episodes is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_%2820 ... _series%29

For details on any episode, check out: http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/episod ... 05/18.html

Though, I'd recommend renting the DVD (or downloading it via BitTorrent), it's worth the effort.

The last 3 or 4 episodes are great. I love all the numbers... here's another good site where all the numbers play into things:

If you're a philosphy/history fan, You might like to read a bit about "John Locke" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Locke) who's ideas helped start America. by encouraging others to think for themselves.

Also, if you read chinese... Boone's shirt had the numbers meaning "84" on them.. 8 and 4...

Great episode tonight. I've gotten back into working out, and found that an hour on the treadmill goes by very fast when watching a show like this.

You know it's a good one when at the end of the show, you say "What the... no way!"

I certainly did not expect that much to be revealed about the hatch, that's for sure. Some tid bits:

The other person in the car wreck with Jack's fiance was Adam Rutherford. Shannon's father is dead and her last name is Rutherford. His time of death, as noted by the doctor, was 8:15.

The vial that Desmond was injecting had a label on it with CR 4-81516-23 42 on it.

If you found the hidden text at the oceanic-flights.com website, it may make more sense on how it "got there" given what's in the hatch.

I can't wait until next week!

Just got this in the mail:

Greeting from the Writer's Room of Lost!

As we careen wildly toward the midpoint of season two, the Writer's Room is working feverishly to continue to provide you with the kind of "Lost" thrills and spills to which you, the viewer, have grown accustomed. Sometimes, that includes changing things up a little bit...

...now, season two is already rife with change - new series regulars in the form of the tail section survivors (or "tailies" as we like to call them - as opposed to the "fusies" of the fuselage section), new mysteries (the Dharma initiative, the elusive Alvar Hanso, the mysterious Desmond), and new challenges - but some of our more daring experiments will come your way not just in the stories, but also in the way we choose to tell them.

During the November sweeps, you will not only be seeing the death of a major character (and we're not telling who it is here!), the tragedy will lead into one of the most unusual and compelling hours we have yet to produce. We won't spoil too much, but let's just say that the intense inside story of the tailies and their trials on the island will be told in a way that will surprise you - and those of you who have gotten used to "Lost's" method of telling stories in the present with flashbacks to the past are going to be thrown for what we hope is a fantastic thrill-ride of a loop on this one.

Beyond the November sweeps, "Lost" is going to continue to find new and exciting ways of telling stories on the island. One of the more thrilling developments going on around here is that director Darren Aronofsky - the daring visionary behind such films as "Pi" and "Requiem for a Dream" - as well as the upcoming Hugh Jackman/Rachel Weisz sci-fi drama "The Fountain" - has just signed up to direct an episode of "Lost..." and you can bet that the blend of the mystery and drama of "Lost" with the visually innovative style of this maverick filmmaker is going to make for some truly awesome television.

Man, if you were mere weeks away from completing your degree with the few assignments you've left to hand in constituting 40% of the total marks for your entire degree, you wouldn't be spending much time in the game-dev forums either!

PS. Tried to post this a week ago but the server bugged out as I pressed post! Haven't logged in since then, too busy!

:) I complete my masters degree in 3 weeks, though don't seem to be under nearly the load that you are. Good luck, and God speed. It'll work out for the best, it always does.

Easiest way to get them is to get the Bittorrent client (google bittorrent) and then type "LOST" in the search box. Download the ones you want.... 300-400mb each.

Ok, my friend downloaded from the itunes site tonight for $1.99. The ep was of high quality and looked good on his lap top at about 2/3 of the screen size. I tried the bittorrent site and I keep getting a 27.9 Kb file that I can't open, not a 300 mb file that I can watch. What gives?

Doh, I'm stuck in San Fran, and couldn't watch the show. I heard tonight's was one of the best ones yet. I'm trying to get it from iTunes, but they only have up to Episode 6.... argh.

If you haven't yet watched it or only saw a few episodes, get season 1 and watch it. Worth the effort.

I used to use it for stargate during the summer, but found it was typically slower than what could be obtained from The Pirate Bay (more seeds).
Of course having a pitiful upload speed doesn't help.

Well, last nights episode was one big flashback, but it didn't contain any flashbacks to before the crash, which was a bit dissappointing. I wanted to learn more about some of these main characters.

The episode spans the entire time the "tailers" have been on the island so far beginning with the crash and ending in a bunch of quick cuts summing up what happened in the episodes since they first appeared.

We get a lot of good stuff on the tailers, but if I say any more I will ruin it for those who haven't seen it yet.

Oh, and we do get to learn who shot Shannon.
