well I played CoV far to long yesterday and I gotta say it is pretty cool.

I can see why people like it but at the same time I can see why it may not be a longterm game. There is no grinding, like WoW you have enough quests to get you up in lvl.

Major Game points: (in no order)
It took about 4-5 hours ot get to lvl 6 but I did tht all through quests. You can only have 1 quest at a time but it shows you where to go for each quest.

The Maps are very detailed and fun to run around in.

The characters are very fun to make. I spend about 20 minutes just designing a single toons look. I'll post screenies today.

There is almost no lag. Servers burps more than lag. It is also clear that they use the same engine for CoH and Guild Wars as every quest has its own instance so you never worry about camping.

If you Die or need to log out in the middle of a Raid (they call them something else). If you can your team stay in the instance and log out when you all loog back in your progress will be saved! This allows part-time players to do long instances without a huge one time time commentment. You can do a 5 hours instance over 2 or 3 nights.

You are given a sprint that can be left on all the time. This greatly decreases downtime and you travel from point to point. At lvl 14 you can get Fly which will lower it again.

All Archtypes seem very balanced. Im playing a Mastermind. As that you can control either Ninjas, Zombies, Robots or Mercs. Depending on which you choose you get different weapons. I get a Bow and Arrow as I use Ninjas. A Robotics Mastermind would get a Machine Gun. BTW. Ninjas FTW!

While there is a Tank class there really isnt a Healer class. Depending on your AT (archtype) you get to choose from a few Secondary classes. You AT determines if you get Buffs, Debuffs, Defense or Offense secondary class. A few of these have individual heals and group heals/buffs. I use force shields as my secondary as I am not really given a heal option as my secondary.

---

There is a lot more but that's all I feel like writing. 8)
In the end, for 40 bucks you could have a lot of fun. It seems like a game you can just log in when you are bored and tool around in. I haven't gotten to build a Fort yet or PVP but both seem good.

There seems to be almost no bugs, no (noticable) lag and no crashes. So from a pure game standpoint they really did a great job making a solid playable game. The thing is is that the game isn't very deep so I can see why WoW is in no danger. But what the game lacks in depth it gains in pure rock'm sock'm be the bad guy and look really cool doing it fun.
