Appears to be a free beta testing. All you need to to either have or sign up on fileplanet. Don't have to subscribe, just wait the nomal 30 mins in line to DL the client.

I am now waiting in line cause this FPS looks very promising.

signed up and download...im getting terrible lag...and I don't think its just the schools network being slow sometimes....

Here's the link to main fileplanet site. Played 4 levels last night. Laggy as hell but man was it cool. Couldn't function as my usual sniper self so had to go Shock Trooper and just run 'n gun. This thing is gonna rock once the lag gets better.

I am really looking for a good 4-player split screen for PS2 so I hope they inlcude that in the console version this time. If not, I'll eventually pick this up on PC.

Yeah I couldnt play my norm FPS position as sniper because of the lag, so I had to run and gun it as well, tried several of the different positions.

Main diff is space combat!!! You can start on foot on, say a Star Destroyer, hop into a TIE, leave the hangar, blast a few X-Wings, land inside a Rebel Corvette, get on foot again and proceed to take control of the bridge/turrets/etc.

All of this is to happen without a single load screen in between!! Amazing!

Other additions are new zones (i.e. some from episode 3, but also a new one on Dagobah, Tantive IV, etc.)

Is the flight control much improved over Battlefront 1? I remember trying to jump in X Wings and not being able to control them very well... made the flying part kinda dumb.

Not sure. I haven't been able to test this directly yet. I have read however that the battlefields are much larger especially in space so that vehicles are actually fighting rather than turning around after strafe runs the majority of the time.

Anyone still testing this game out? How is it?

I saw a trailer on gamespy... looks cool... they said you can play as a jedi too... anyone tried that out?
