Anyone going to pick it up?

The beauty to CoH/V is that it is not a dedicated MMO. Meaning you really can play it like a Console game. Log in play a few hours and log out. Yeah there is a grind but it really should be 'grind'. I'm in beta for CoV and Im having a lot of fun.

It is what I call a throw away MMO. You play it for a while, bore of it, drop it and a few months later pick it up. It isn't very deep of a game and the powers and battles are just huge.

Seriously. In any other MMO you hunt and pick your instances. One mod then another. You call our ADD! when 1 more mob joins in. In CoH/V you just blaze in balls out. A room can have literally 30 dides in it. You send you tank in and then the room just erupts in blasts and lazers and Ice storms and Fire raining from the skies. It is just maddness. You blaze away and when it is all said and done you rest for about 20 seconds and move on to the next room. You will sit there and be like damn! I don't know what just happened but we just blew the S**T and of from MoFo's!

I pre-ordered so I get a 2 day headstart (not that that is a huge deal as early lvls are gained fast). So I'll probably play through the weekend and then spotty from there. CoH and CoV share a subscription fee so 14 bucks gets you both games and 12 character slots!

Let me know if you are planning on joining up. Im on Pinnacle Server.

I'm thinking about it.

Played COH for a while, but was largely disappointed with the lack of depth. I go back to it from time to time, the premise is so undeniably cool that's it's hard to resist.

I've read a bit about CoV and it sounds as if they have addressed some of my issues. I'd buy it for sure but there is a lot coming out right now is must have for me (Civ4, AOE III, Football Manager).

I'll look you up if I get on.

I'm on Pinnacle, too. If you see ColonelAngus, give me a shout.
